CESNET-L
CESNET-L is “a professional listserv for counselors, counselor educators, and supervisors whose purpose is to provide an open forum for discussion of counselor education and supervision issues, and sharing of resources related to the profession.” CESNET-L is short for Counselor Education and Supervision NETwork Listserv. CESNET-L has 7000+ Counselor Educators and doctoral students. We do not have masters students or CITs as part of our Listserv. CESNET-L has been in existence since November of 1994.
CESNET-L accepts calls for research subjects with permission of the Listmanager and when the research subject’s are CEs and CE doctoral students. CESNET-L is not to be used for classroom assignments. It would be considered a violation of netiquette.

CESNET-D
CESNET-D is “a professional discourse group for counselors, counselor educators, and supervisors whose purpose is to provide an open forum for discussion of counselor education and supervision issues, and sharing of resources related to the profession.” CESNET-D is unlike CESNET-L in that it is not a mail server program; it is a website with threaded discussion posts on topics. A member can access via website or a mobile app. Discussions on CESNET-D are not stored in your email but are searchable in the website or mobile app. Requests for research subjects and posts for for-profit personal commercial services/trainings are not permitted on CESNET-D. There are currently 1700+ members on CESNET-D.
